Artist Bios:

Ila Lovelace-Kuhnert is a Trinidadian of mixed heritage. Born into an artistic family, Ila finds creative expression comes naturally to her. From a young age, Ila’s mother brought her along to exhibitions exposing her to the art world. 

In her current body of work, Lovelace-Kuhnert paints portraits of women and expresses their beauty using hardedge shapes without blending thereby creating stylized images that emphasize the true beauty and strength of each subject.
